Staying fit is a key component of being healthy, so, unless you are driven to work out regularly, you have to find something you like to do, then make doing it easy and convenient. The Kendrick’s expansive three-story fitness center is filled with multiple ways to get in your daily conditioning; you’ve got to check it out right now. But in case you can’t drop everything and swing by on a moment’s notice, let’s take a blog tour!
First stop: Cardio. Get your heart rate up on the first floor. If you’re looking for the always reliable standbys, you will find them here along with some more cutting edge workout stations. We have Life Fitness Discovery treadmills, Woodway curved self-powered treadmill, elliptical trainers, stair-climber and recumbent bike equipment. Next, move on to the Peleton® bike, where each resident can create their own personal account to help track fitness goals and customize workouts. Take a look at the Life Fitness SYNRGY360 High Intensity, Multifunction Training Station. It’s like being in a CrossFit gym, including heavy bag, box jump, rope pulldown, pull-up bar, TRX strap, medicine balls, kettle bells and more.
Going up to lifting. Get pumped on the second floor with Life Fitness free weights: 5- to 75-pound free weight dumbbells and multiple types of free-weight benches, plus a half-rack with Olympic bar and plate-style free weights from 10 to 45 pounds. No spotter? No problem. This floor also has Life Fitness cable machines that support leg curl/extension, leg press, lat pulldowns, low row, pectoral and back fly, multi-press and leg raises.
Did you skip the cardio floor by mistake? Have no fear, this floor also features Concept 2 Rowing Machines. You can get a great resistance meets cardio, full-body workout on these machines; just take a moment to learn the technique to get the most out of your minutes. And the best for last, for casual climbers to rock-climbing junkies, The Kendrick features two Rockwerx rock-climbing walls that span two-stories of the fitness center. Upward and onward, indeed.
This floor will elevate your workout game with a flexible studio space with ballet bar, medicine balls, and kettle bells. It’s perfect for yoga, dance, stretching, calisthenics and whatever else residents want to try. You can also find a Life Fitness spin bike studio, as well as Wellbeats™ fitness on-demand training program kiosks to keep your progress progressing.
While classes aren’t currently an option, The Kendrick is in the planning stages of offering classes including yoga, spin, rock-climbing lessons, nutritional night events and personal training sessions.
With all of this right outside your apartment, The Kendrick makes it easy to get to the gym without even having to step outside. Though, there are a lot of active things you can do outside, but that’s another blog. You owe it to yourself, and your bod, to schedule a real tour of our rental apartments in Needham, MA.
